One of my friend that works at MB told me it can be done but only with the star program. My car is parked for the winter and I'll be doing this coming summer. I just hate it how the low beam stays on all the time.I'll rather have the fog lite as my drl cheap to change fog blub than the low beam xenon.

 

Thanks for the info, that's good to know. I was always wondering if the car sends the current for the DRL on a separate wire to the headlight of if it just uses the same wire as the regular night time lights and just alters the wattage.

If your from states don't you have the option to turn drl off. Here in Canada by law we need drl so dealer won't reprogram but since I have a friend working in mb he's going to do it for me.

 

I live in the US, and I like the DRLs. I'd just like to change the DRL from the headlights to the fog lights.

But yes, I can turn on and off the DRLs in the car's computer system myself from the sterring wheel.

Good question. I'd like to know as well since I want to upgrade to the newer led drl and would like them to function as intended.

I've seen this kit a few times and I think about swaping it out but I like the FOG lights better imo
