To the best of my knowledge I have never heard of a 6 speed manual in the UK. However it is very feasible that AMG may have supplied the odd bespoke C43 with a 6 speed manual as a special order, a bit like their Performance Studio offering on their current model range.

I guess anything is possible, money pending. It may be worth emailing AMG direct and asking the question, as they may be able to offer more insight, maybe even the manufacturer?

the only 'amg' with manual tranny is C37RS from Carlsson as far as i know.

Tis was a so-called 'dog-leg' gearbox with first gear left and down from neutral. This meant that the remaining 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gear were in a simple H pattern allowing fast and easy selection. In contrast to most Mercedes cars 5th gear was not used as an overdrive but realy destined to reach the top speed. The gear ratio's were
1st.G - 4,08
2nd.G - 2,52
3rd.G - 1,77
4th.G - 1,26
5th.G - 1,00:1
Rev.G - 4,40.

Top speed at 7000RPM were 230km/h

The most common stick conversion tranny is the 300e 124 5spd, it has identical gearing as the auto and is almost a direct swap. Hope that helps.

I think you have to use a different driveshaft but other then that it should bolt up and work fine. You will need the manual C280 drivetrain & clutch (if you can find an aftermarket flywheel & clutch & pressureplate for the euro C280 stick then I would recommend using that. There also is a true W202 5speed from europe but its even more rare than the 300e trannies but it is the perfect swap b/c it is a true direct OEM swap but you have to import it, which is not easy.
