C36/C280 differences (exhaust manifolds & EGR)

I have a question about W202 C280 and C36 AMG.

Is there a difference between exhaust manifolds of those two? I somehow cannot find the part number for exhaust manifolds in the EPC for C36.

I would expect them to be different...

Does the C36 have EGR valve on the exhaust manifold?

Thanks

Not sure about the Exhaust Mani differences, but yes, the C36 does have the EGR on the Exhaust mani aswell.

I think that it might depend on which market the C36 was built for.

My C36 (Australia) does not have anything on the exhaust manifolds at all.

I also suspect that the C280 and C36 exhaust manifolds are the same. I haven't seen any reference to a special AMG manifold.

I can take a look for you this evening, I will let you know what I find.

Yeah there aren't any numbers on both the AMG and the 280 manifold's, but they do look the same in size.
Hey John, where did they move the EGR to in '97?

i say a 95 will still be faster up to 190km for once it shifts into 4th it will lose against the shorter gearing of the later 97.

BTW euro spec C36AMG 95 or 97 come with same rating from factory of 206kw.

c36 manifolds and 4 speed box

it was my impression that the 4 speed went faster until you probably reached top speed! heck of a kick with the vacuum operation!

anyway the manifolds are exactly the same! i have the c280 & the c36. breaking my c280 so you welcome to buy the manifolds?

only one lambda probe before the cats! nothing else in the manifold! im in the uk by the way!

im pretty sure that the quoted 276 bhp is using 97 octane fuel! i use 99 in mine. and you can feel a better response! think the Americans have 268bhp with 91 octane? or is the ron different? not sure about that!

my c280 was a 1996 build and the c36 is 1995 build quite a few differences between the two! little things that might be difficult to tell! digital clocks instead of manual, digital heater settings instead of manual, different carbon look on the interior and different steering pumps! some connectors on the harness are slightly different. temp sensor on the engine is a different location.
