I don't want to have my wheels professionally redone for $125 or more each.

I'm seeing several kits out there for us DIY'ers ... which one(s) enable me to end up with a professional-looking repair? How much skill is required?

Any thoughts / testimonials are greatly appreciated!

Dear CoffeeGuy,

I guess we have absolutely no idea which kits you are looking at. That makes is challenging to off an opinion. New wheels approach $800.00. If you found a service that can re-finish back to new for $125.00/wheel I would jump on that and not waste time perfecting a DIY technique.

Thanks,
Zill.

I had curb rash repaired on my 2002 E320 wheels by a guy from alloy wheel repair. i believe it was Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists | The World's Largest Wheel Repair Company . His van was parked outside a local autohaus so I just asked him a price. He stopped by my house and said something like $300. I said that was too much. He dropped it to about half that price. I removed the wheels and he repaired them on the spot in his van. I could not imagine doing that job myself to any kind of satisfaction. He had multiple colors or "paint" or whatever it was to match my wheels or most any other wheel. He also had all the tools, sandpaper, etc. Most of all, he had the knowledge.
This was so worth it.
