Good afternoon,

I’ve been having some intermittent problems with my fuel pump relay, which happens to be good. I’m trying to find the wiring diagram pin out for the fuel pump, relay wiring harness.

thank you

In addition to above, several years ago, my '91 SEC also had intermittent cutting out problems.
It was thought the crankshaft position sensor was the culprit.

Sometimes it would readily restart & sometimes it would only do do after letting the engine cool with the hood open for.. twenty minutes or so..
I recall one such drive when the engine cut out at least four times on a forty mile drive on a busy interstate highway.. No fun.

At the dealership, the initial diagnosis was the rear crankshaft position sensor had failed and so a new replacement was ordered.
Days later, after installation, it was clear to the technician there was still an issue.
A spare relay was swapped in and the car ran just fine.

After dissection, here is how he found the condition of the fuel pump relay circuit board.

A week or two later the cracked/dry solder joints were addressed at the local electronics store..
That original 1991 relay was then reinstalled and the car has behaved perfectly for the last five years.

The spare relay lives in the little box between the rear seats.

I never soldered before.
Bought a kit and nice magnifying glasses which is a musr, with nice light. a solder sucking apparatus. Some solders.
Watched few videos on YouTube.
opened my FPR. Looked for cracks and bad solders and redid them. It was not that bad to learn...

Oh my God,
Can’t thank you guys enough for responding to my post.
This is what going on
At pin 7 of the fuel pump relay socket as pictured in my original post. I ran a direct wire from the positive side of the battery and verified that both pumps and all associated components operated as they were supposed to. Plenty of fuel at the fuel distributor.
Then, with my text light I went to pin 8 of the same connector and with the key in the on (or start position) I get no 12volts.
I asked for this schematic diagram so I can trace that pin back through the vehicle trying to figure out why I get no 12 V.
With that said, I did at one point during this test procedure C 12 V at Penn eight.

Your comment about the crankshaft position Center has something I’m going to have to take a look at.

The car suddenly died coming out of a three-point u-turn.
This happened a few months ago the car just wouldn’t start. All of a sudden I replaced the fuel pump relay and now I’m wondering if it was hiding a different problem.

I’ll test through the circuits to see if I could find anything.

Once again thanks for your help.
