OK, here we go. About 2 weeks ago, I was out of town, and noticed that my wife's car just suddenly lost power. Not Limp mode, but more like the turbo wasn't working. I needed to get back to Savannah from Atlanta the next day, so I took it to a local guy in Fayetteville who scanned it and said that the DPF was clogged up. He tried 3 times to run a DPF re-gen program and did not have any luck. He tried to see if he could get the part, but I wasn't about to pay 1,800.00 for a new one. I just drove the thing home on Saturday.

After doing a little research, I decided to take the Filter off and send it to DPF Re-gen in CT. They sent it back and I had my local mechanic re-install it. I was really psyched until I got in the car and the check engine light was still on, and the loss of power was still evident. My local guy, did what I asked. He just removed and reinstalled to unit. Do I need to have the code reset? Is that something I can do myself?

:frownI thought I saved 2,000.00, but maybe not.
