14 D error code dash display

Good evening fellow members.2001 Ml320 has been running fine other than it needing new cats. Every time u start up ml on odometer display it will show a number and the letter D. Has anyone ever came across this? Any idea what it means? It now reads 14 D.

It's counting down to d-day for your ML.

But seriously, your ML is trying to tell you something - to check your owner's manual. The clue is to the left of the display - the icon shows 2 wrenches.
