I cannot take credit for writing any of this information, I only searched and found it when I was repairing my CIS injected cars. I broke the documents into pictures to make it easier to read. I did get share authorization from the author of the CIS Rebuild document since he wrote a copyright into it and he also recommended CIS Flowtech for Fuel Distributor Rebuilds. They also have a great web site for CIS information just look at either the FAQ's or the Blog.

Warm Up Regulator

This is a great document on the way the WUR works and how to fix and clean it. It is not the vacuum version but the only difference is the vacuum version has the extra chamber below these upper chambers with the big bladder. I tested mine with a vacuum pump. Typically on cars that sat for a while the top chambers described in this procedure are real mess.

pages 1, 2 and the entire document in pdf format.

Auto Solve Diagnostic Pages

The entire document is available from the link in the post from 1968;
Here is the page view broken into sections. It's just my effort to throw as much of this info into one thread, enjoy.

These are a system overview, an idea of system pressure and a break down of the fuel injector.

Your cold start components are attached here. The aux air valve on the MB's I've seen do not look like this one but the theory of operation is similar, I like to say it is very similar to the operation of a choke even though some disagree. When the Aux air valve is not working properly or out of adjustment though you get the same symtoms as a choke out of adjustment; starts and dies, starts and stumbles for a while etc.

The cold start injector just shoots that little enrichment of fuel into the chamber for cols starting and remember it works with the TTS ( Thermal Time Switch ) which is supposed to only allow the enrichment during cold starts and only for a few seconds.

END of this series of documents.
