Help, I need to replace the filter and transmission fluid in my 280 SE 4.5. It has a three speed automatic with floor shifter. I have a mechanic ready to go, but I agreed to provide the filter. I have searched all my manuals but cannot identify the transmission type. The local dealership looked it up based on VIN and got two possible options without a way to tell which one is in the car. I have numbers from the transmission case, but they do not match anything I have read. I am missing something?
