The original valves A2203200358 aka 2203200358 valves were made by Husco International of Waukesha Wisconsin. I'm not sure if valves were actually made there, I don't believe they have manufacturing site in Germany. Does anybody know who makes improved version A2203201258 aka 2203201258? I've seen boxes, and the boxes are clearly marked Made in Germany. The improved version looks quite different from the original valve. I'm still looking for core valves, so I can setup a quality builder to remanufacture these valves for under $500 with a good warranty. If you know anyone that has bunch of core valves I like to get in touch with them also. I'm sure some of these faulty valves are just getting recycled for aluminum. Thanks,

Also posted this in the W220 section, but I think that posting it here is no mistake.....

If it's of any help to you guys, found these pictures in an excellent german SL Forum, it's a Valve block taken apart, with the valves taken out for cleaning. This is how it looks like (see Attachment!)

I cleaned it with "Bremsenreiniger" (Brake Cleaner), I think it's a kind of cleaning alcohol (Isopropanol?) I think it's not that important, as long as it doesn't stay on the rubber bits too much, after cleaning I smeared the rubber O-Rings with Pentosin (CHF 11S) before putting the valve back together.
But blowing everything with compressed air is also important.

Looks good, but are we sure that the valves should work after the cleaning process, or this is just a try and if it doesn't work we have to buy new valves? Also do you guys know of any stores either online or not that would sell used (rebuilt) valves or any shopd that would fix them?
Thanks.

There is no guarantee. I've never done it. I've heard quite a few people state that the valve blocks worked properly after cleaning & replacing the o-rings. I would find a good independent mechanic (who is familiar with ABC) if you don't feel comfortable doing the work. The dealership won't do it.

You can take off just one valve by one, don't need to take off whole block. Lift plastic "spring" with very small flat screwdriver, turn it for 45 deg. and woila, it should fall out (you'll have to lift the car ofcourse).

Great process... is there anyone who could have part-numbers and link/contact to shop to order all parts which could be replaced on these valves?

can I test these valves with 12volts if they are working ? how to determine where is + ?

NAJLEPSI, this is great news!

So I can jack up the front end (remove the wheel too) and just pull out both valves one by one?

Is the plastic 'spring' part of the valve itself? Because I remember seeing a valve and there was what I'll call a 'wedge' between the two valves. The wedge was stuck between the two valves and looked like this: )(

It had to be pulled out, then you could remove the valves.

Do I need to pull the wedge out first? And once that is done, what does this 'spring' look like? A plastic tab that prevents the valve from turning?
