Most of us with 487 ABC option had to replace one or both of ABC valves at some point. I like to collect a few failed units, to see if I can find a good place to rebuild them for a reasonable cost. They are nothing but a hydraulic valves, really shouldn't cost $1200 ea.
Please let me know if you like to donate these valves. I'm located in Indianapolis, Indiana. I've sold hydraulic and pneumatic automation components for a few years in the past.
Regards,

The original valves A2203200358 aka 2203200358 valves were made by Husco International of Waukesha Wisconsin. I'm not sure if valves were actually made there, I don't believe they have manufacturing site in Germany. Does anybody know who makes improved version A2203201258 aka 2203201258? I've seen boxes, and the boxes are clearly marked Made in Germany. The improved version looks quite different from the original valve. I'm still looking for core valves, so I can setup a quality builder to remanufacture these valves for under $500 with a good warranty. If you know anyone that has bunch of core valves I like to get in touch with them also. I'm sure some of these faulty valves are just getting recycled for aluminum. Thanks,

Has anyone disassembled an updated style ABC valve?

Question: Has anyone opened a "new style" ABC control valve block?

Backstory: I've got the old style valve on the front of my car. It's been giving me problems, took it apart yesterday to change seals and one of the control valves refuses to separate from the valve. The outer housing is loose and turns but the nose of the valve is securely locked in the valve.
SO
I'll probably destroy the valve getting it out of the block. :crying
I have an opportunity to purchase a new style valve at a reasonable cost...I'd just like to know if anyone has cracked one of these open. It looks (from the photos) that there may be a a fastener under the sticker that always shows up on the center of the end of the solenoid valves.

A photo of an open valve would be worth a thousand words....

I rebuilt my old style valve block last week. Also, I researched about how to disassemble new style, but was not able to find any info.
It may hard to remove solenoids from the block due to seal vacuum. but it will come out once you do slowly.
Hope you solve issue.
