W210 E420 Relays ?

After tearing through my car - 97 E420 - I cannot find anything that looks like a conventional Bosch relay for my Fuel pump etc.

Does my car have any multi-purpose relays expensively built and hidden in the fuse holders?

If so - is there any list locating the relays and what they control ? I have a recurring P0141 code for rear O2s heater circuit. This circuit must include a relay somewhere that I should check before I do something more drastic - like replace the catalyst.

A search on the WIS of "relay" yields no help whatsoever with my problem.

Fuses for the fuel pump, air pump, horn, traction system are in the control module box under the hood. This box is located between the engine firewall and the aircon evaporator area, opposite side of the brake fluid cylinder.

My horn/fanfare doesn't work. Does anyone have an idea where to find the fuses for the fanfare (horn) on a 2000 E320 wagon. Chart in the fuse box on the driver's side of the engine compartment says they are #40 and #41. But there is no #40 and #41 in that fuse box. The horn mounted in front of the radiator works as I checked it by direct connect to the battery. The other horn I understand is mounted below the pax side headlight and requires bumber facia removal. That seems daunting to me. Anyway I guess next step to find out why the horn doesn't work is the fuses. Then the I guess its the switch in the steering wheel. You guys somehow always come up with an answer. I guess all MB issues are the same.

Thanks for all the previous assistance.

Well out of frustration and because I was passing the local MB dealer I stopped and asked the female service manager where fuses #40 and #41 for the horn were. After 10 minutes of no luck a tech happened by and lo and behold they are in the driver's side engine bay fuse box. But, they are cleverly comoflaged in that the numbers are not black. The service mgr. and I both thought they were spares. If you look very closely you can make out the numbers in black on black. The 7.5 fuse was bad and the horn is back to working. Thanks to all previous inputs on this subject as in the treasure hunt for the fuse I learned even more about my car.

Horn fuse should be in the control model box, which is behind the engine firewall opposite to the brake drum. There is a video clip in the general sticky DIY thread that explain where it is.

1997 w210 e320

I've torn through my car and cannot locate any relays in the fuse boxes. I am looking for the Klima relay for the A/C compressor. To be clear, I am inquiring about the location of a relay box/panel on/in the vehicle. I've located the fuse panels 1) in the engine compartment drivers side next to master cylinder(no relays there 2) engine compartment passenger side next to douvalve also contains control module 3) driver side dash 4) under rear seat with battery

any help here would be appreciated

Mercedes-Benz E240 Classic Hearse

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I have a E240 Classic hearse, ( to all intents and purposes, it is an elongated car with out a boot.) and as the sunshine meets new heat records the blower has stopped working, and I believe all my fuses are OK, I metered accross them all, but I do have a legend for the fuses in the end of the dashboard, but not the drivers side engine compartment. Can anyone help?
