I know most of the Benz enthusiasts are into watches too...:D..

Wearing a watch give a statements of what type of a person you are, what kind of cars you into, and etc.....

I want to know what kind of watches are you into, what kind of watches do you own, what kind of watch do you wear with your SL, and what is your dream watch of owning...;)..

I'm thinking of getting another watch, but don't know which one yet...:confused:.

Any recommendation are welcome.....

Post some pictures of your watches if you like...:).

Thanks....:)

My best watch currently would be my Tag Kirium. I had an Omega Seamaster a few years back but sold it to my brother. Then I have a Lacoste, a few Seikos, a Coleman for camping and a Eletta Albatross that I picked up in Portugal a few years ago also.

The watch I wear usually depends on what I am wearing or where I am going. My next watch I would like a Rolex Deepsea and the watch I absolutely love is the Rolex Daytona.

Thanks for sharing....

First of all thanks for sharing on what kind of watches you guys have....

Seiko Diver 100 is a very good watch (bang for the buck)

Rolex Deepsea very nice thinking about it....

Rolex Daytona can't go wrong with it.....

Well, I have to say that my hobby is watch making I love to spend hours with the smallest of smalls I own 70 watches and in my draws I have more to come. My wife loves to talk to me when I have a part that can't be seen without a 20x. Got to love her.
Today I am wearing a DIY that has a 2836-2 auto movement with a 18k WG case and 42 diamond bezel, The dial is blue with my name in it. At the top ZUPITO and at the bottom LZ. Sorry I can talk about watches all day. Before I got hurt on the job my last store bought watch was a blue dial 116619 in white gold
For you Tony a nice GMT pepsi will be nice on you (last pic).LZ
Very nice watches collection Luigi....

I love that Blue Ceramic WG Rolex Submariner "aka SMURF" 116619....

lol... you have to same taste as my wife... She told me I should have gotten the Rolex GMT Pepsi or Coke instead of the Rolex Explorer II because I love to drink a lot of soda...lol.....

1) Tag Heuer Formula 1 - my everyday

2) Tag Heuer Carrera - love it

3) Tag Heuer Monaco - love the blue face.

3) Rolex Sky Dweller - my ace in the hole

That's about it for me.
A lot of members here into Tag & Rolex....

Tag Heuer Carrera I like it too....

Rolex Sky Dweller very nice..... no discount plus wait lists....

but my favorite watch, the one i wear the most, is the Rolex Yacht-Master II. i like the design of it the most, great weight and keeps time wonderfully.

another watch i wear, that i happened to come across purely by chance actually, is the Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph Open Home Time, style #107067. i like the semi-classic styling of it. i didnt even know Montblanc made watches until recently. they sell a fair amount of them as well. i have the catalog if anyone has any questions about certain watches i would be happy to tell you anything. the catalog also has watches of which they only made 8 time pieces. now those ones are nice.

now, my dream watch, one i may never own as it is ~$4,00,000 US. it is the 2005 Vacheron Constantin Tour de I'lle. they only made 7 of them in 2005 and it is my favorite watch by far. (only a dream right now, sadly; maybe one day)
Rolex Yacht-Master II good choice if you like heavy weight plus 42mm size

Montblanc do make nice watches.... but I LOVE their pens....

My dream watch is Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon...lol......

I wear my Tag-Heuer Monaco with the blue face to match the blue interior of my SL.

At other times I wear my Rolex Submariner.

As for a dream watch...too many to mention.
Rolex Submariner classic watch....

I don't know where my watch is right now; I'll need it for a business trip soon though so I'll look for it tomorrow. It's a fairly decent Skagen, Stainless steel mesh band. No date on the face so as I fly back and forth I just adjust the time and never have to worry about the date being right.
I use my iPhone as my "watch"!
I also have PC's, laptops and an iPad which I use as my "clocks".

I consider my iPhone my pocketwatch. All I need is a gold chain for it.
I usually use my iPhone to tell time, with alerts and alarms.
I now use an Android phone for time-keeping purposes and haven't worn a watch for several years.

My phone..lol.. Cool app...:D

the watch world say that tag does not hold its value. Is that right i dont know. i do not own a tag or like them but that is just me. LZ
I hate to say this Tag don't have good resale value....:( But they are a good band name watch though.....

I think if I was spending big $$$ I would prefer the Tag to the Rolex. I think the Tag also carries a better image.

You don't F*** with Tag men, they are as hard as nails. They drive Formula 1 racing cars and Sky Dive off bridges. Even Brad Pitt who collects Rolex wears a Tag. It doesn't matter if they don't hold the value as well, because a Tag man will probably destroy it with the sheer pace of his life style.

Now a Rolex man I imagine as a middle aged guy in a chauffeur driven limo with a big cigar in his mouth. He is sat between two chicks half his age who wish they didn't have to be there. When he get's home he takes off his toupee (I pronounce that toop-ay) and puts the Rolex back in it's display case. He then puts on his nightshirt goes to sleep and snores. :D

But don't get upset about my post, just thought we could liven the thread up a bit ;)

Enjoy.....:)

funny thing, I do in fact love watches. But the price of gold lately makes them more of an investment. Its almost too pretentious to wear them...
Very nice Steve, another fine classic watch is the Rolex President Day-Date....

I agree with you... My best investment watch is the Rolex YG Daytona 16528 with the Zenith movement..... Glad I make the right choice of buying this watch instead of buying a new car with my graduation money...

Rolex GMT Master II. Stainless with "coke" bezel. Classic and elegant.

Agree...^^^.....

Right now I am wearing an Eternamatic 1000 that was my father's.
I also have a 1957 vintage Omega automatic and a nice and heavy Vostok Amphibian. My bum around watch is a 1999 LL Bean ;-)
My favorite though is a cheap watch (can't remember the name)with a beat up leather band held on with bent wire that my uncle wore all through WWII. I got it without a crystal, but when it was wound up it started to run! I had a replacement crystal put on to protect the hands. It does not get worn, but it gets wound once in a while.
I also have a vintage 1924 Waltham pocket watch my Grandfather won while he was a prize fighter. (yes they actually won prizes back then!)
I wind it daily and it has always run.
Like luigi4 my father had a passion in repairing watches, as a lad I spent many a hour sat with him while he mended and adjusted them with his single eye glass and small screwdrivers. When he retired from his job with J Lucas he was given a gold Smiths Astral. The first thing he did as with all his own watches was to swap the bracelet with an Excalibur Expanding one. When he died this was one of the things that became mine. I have never been a fan of expensive adornments I usually go for a quality no nonsense type watch that I can abuse a little. But when we go out dining etc I always wear Dads Astral, makes me feel like I'm taking him too :D
1914 Elgin pocket watch.
Still keeping near perfect time after 99 years.
Thanks for sharing the history of the watch....

Looks like we share lots of the same types of passions. I have about 30 watches and my favorite brand is Rado.
Nice.... Post a better pictures... BTW Rado is a good watch my grandpa have one....

Y'all are too blue-blooded for my taste.

When I wore a watch, it was a nice Seiko with a stainless steel band with gold trim and a phosphorescent dial. The last time the battery died, I never had it replaced. That was four years ago.

I consider my iPhone my pocketwatch. All I need is a gold chain for it.

Well, I did my homework on the watch that I'm thinking of buying & went to some of the authorized dealer today.....

My watch type & requirement would be:

1. Sport watch
2. Good for casual wear & dress if possible
3. Good resale value & appreciates in value in the next 10 years or so
4. Accept worldwide if you ever need cash or flip it
5. Must have box, book, paperwork, & etc
6. Buy local so I know what I'm getting don't want to end up like Ace Hood (see last video)...

The watches that I looked today & like are....

Chopard Mille Miglia Chronograph...... I like it but knowing if I buy this watch, I will get a big hit on depreciation.....

Rolex Submariner 116610LV aka The Hulk..... I like it but afraid it a fashion trends thing... Will it look good after years has gone by..??.. Have to look at it again.. In stock, no discount

Rolex GMT-Master II aka The Batman new for 2013 coming soon to the authorized dealer (will see it when they have it, no discount

Rolex Sea-Dweller 116660 Big 44mm thick & heavy.... might not be for me.... But let see, have to try it again... discount & In stock

Rolex Milgauss 116400V bko Love the green sapphire crystal..... discount & in stock

Rolex Daytona 116520 white or black face My dream watch when I was a teen..... No discount plus mark up & wait list

Some video I would like to share with you guys if you haven't seen it.....Hope you guys enjoy it...

...^^^...I guess he didn't buy his watch at the authorized dealer....lol.....

Most likely I will end up with a Rolex but don't know which one..:surrender:..

Any advice or suggestion are welcome....

Thanks..:).

Vacheron $4... Rolex, etc.

Hmmmmm.

Isn't a Casio watch more accurate?
It tells time, alarms, date, month, year.

What does a man need?

Oh,
I forgot smart phones cars, chicks.... maybe not on the same order.
Did you noticed that I said needs, not wants?

Shouldn't the price of the watch match,

The houses.

The yachts.

The cars.

Lol.

Now where did I put my Vacheron?
My grandson is playing with it.

It's OK, he worth's more. ;)

Regards,
aam.

Yes, Casio watch are more accurate with time, alarms, date, month, year...

If you think of it that way..... Why do we need to drive a Benz.... Kia would do just fine.... It have a lot more electronics gadgets than our SL...lol..;):p...

Love your joke Albert....

I usually wear Omega Speedmaster Michael Schumacher Limited Edition, i don't have watches devoted to the cars more than this :)
Another nice watch....

I like Sport Watches, preferably Black.

One of my favorites is the 44mm HUBLOT Maradona:

And my all-time favorite:

Thanks for sharing....

The only problem Rolex will not service the watch at the Rolex Service Center
due to the aftermarket parts or modifying the watch....:(

I usually use my iPhone to tell time, with alerts and alarms, but when I do wear watches, I like 3D displays.I will post pictures of the 2 I have when I dig them out.
Looking forward to see the pictures...

rolex with a skeleton face WOW
MY NEXT WATCH> LZ
Never can have enough watches.....lol....

This is probably going to make me look like a *******, but when I do wear a watch (fairly rare), I throw on my old G-Shock. This thing can take a beating. I've ran it over with my car just to see if it can take the abuse (it can). Love it! Got it at Walmart for $25 dollars
Image
You be surprise a lot of people who have fine watches do have Casio G-Shock in their watches collection....

Always loved Rolexes, Tags, Omegas. They fall under my dream watch category, Man I want to be like y'all when I grow up! Lol! Cheers!
In your lifetime you will have one of those watch....

Garmin Forerunner 610.
Cool watch that have GPS....

The thing a lot of people don't realise when looking in a shop window is that the right Rolex will not be a bad investment at all.

SL BRABUS knows his 116610 Rolex Submariner will be like a rust free 107 SL!! Virtually money in bank! Ok, if you buy a brand new one you won't get discount and may lose if you wanted to sell it the same week BUT if you keep it and look after it you will likely find in 5-10 years time it will still be worth not far off what you paid for it. It will still look good even if worn every day. For many years Rolex price rises have helped achieve this. They are crazy money for stainless steel but this is the watch to buy if you fear depreciation

Anyone explain the me the appeal of white gold Rolex? I'm sorry I just don't see it. I recently saw a £23,000 ($30,000 ?) white gold yacht master then the stainless version. You can hardly tell the difference except thousands cheaper!!!

I'd say to consider if having the date on the watch is something you use or are used to. The Daytona for example is lovely but no date. Although I guess these days most have a phone in their pocket. I would still prefer date on watch.
Thanks for the tips, Scott ....
