The backrest was fighting, because the structure is completely different because of the engine, but solved :)

Hand mechanics replaced the motor mechanics :) The backrest tilt mechanism will have to fix it.

The quilting under the door panel... is that stock or something you added? And if added, is the purpose to help knock down road noise?
Just liked and put it there :) The black fabric do you think?

I like, but what is the product you used as the door vapor barrier and where do you buy it?
Self-adhesive black upholstery fabric.

:)
Will it absorb moisture?

It's called thin bubble foil or foil-faced bubble wrap. It's used to insulate walls and many other chit, my only concern is that it will squeak once he gets the car moving but who knows, he may get lucky.

2' x 10' Double Bubble Foil Insulation Foil/Foil (20 sq. ft.)

This is craftsmanship that is very difficult to find these days. Your car is truly a work of art! Your attention to detail is truly incredible, as is your creativity to add new technology in a tasteful manner. I salute you and your skill, dedication and impeccable taste! Keep the updates coming, as most of us can only dream of having the time, skills and resources to attempt a project such as this. We can live vicariously through you!:smile

Terrific video, and I can appreciate such dedication to your project.
Music is perfect!

I have followed your project from the beginning, with keen interest.
I hope you maintain the courage to show everyone else what can be done when the mind and some personal confidence are unleashed.

Best wishes for your continued efforts.
