The following story didnt happen to me (I'm blessed).

...They were heading to the country, aah... getting out of the city for a few days. They have a friend with a farm. Just the Woman, the Man and a dog. Well the dog is still a puppy however and weighs in at 20something Kg.
They arrive and it's all good. Although the night time procedure of putting the pup in the car worked for 3 nights, on the 4th night it went horribly wrong.
Imagine yourself for a moment as you walk outside in the morning to let the pup out of your new A Class, the morning air is sweet and its going to be another wonderful day......
You open A Class to let the pup out and discover the puppy has spent the last 7 hours tearing your dashboard and seats to shreds, to the extent that the dash is peeling open like a banana. Are you having a wonderful day now?

What happened next?
They chose not to cap the puppy.
They are getting the car fixed under their insurance policy.

Since they are having the dashboard fixed then maybe throw in a COMAND GPS unit and turf out that old radio for good.
