Hey guys I spent quite a bit of time searching and I am hoping you guys could lend a hand to complete the information on this TSB.

I have a 2003 MB SLK 320 I just bought and it is awesome but the weather has gotten chilly around here (below 55 F) in Jacksinville FL and I noticed much more in cold weather but it does not seem to go away 100% is squeaking/creaking noise from right behind my driver seat. AT first I thought it might be coming from the rear driver spring/shock assembly but after coming the TSB's it seems like TSB P-00_45-77 is the guy giving me the problems.

For refrence this is all I got from ALLDATA:

P-00_45-77 FEB 04 Interior - Squeaking/Creaking Noise Kit

Can anyone give me more info? Has anyone here gone to MB with this TSB for your car? How long to fix? Any hassle getting TSB work done? ANy info at all would help.

Elias

PS just in case people did not have or to lazy to look up here is the alldata for the 2003 MB SLK 320.

I had a similar creaking noise coming from around the drivers seat...eventually figured out that it was the "female" part of the seat belt buckle rubbing against the seat while it was fastened.

The other main creak I have is coming from that textured metal decklid behind the rollbars. It's worse in the cold, and over bumpy roads...if I reach back and put some weight on it, it goes away. Still need to figure out how to fix it though.

See if either of those are your problems.

elias,

Where did you get all the TSB service bulletins from? I'd like to see some of those as I have experienced a few of those issues.

Thanks

This link will take you to the TSB number and the part number for the lubricant.

Thanks for posting that ALLDATA information. I had not heard of that site until now. Great info.

Thanks to everyone!

[:D]

I have to say that you can get this info from your cra at ALLDATA (hit ALLDATA and TSB in yahoo) and you should be able to find the link.

Thanks for the ideas and I have to say Dartek it sems like we have clone cars in that on the way home from the club I reached around with my had behind me and laid it out on the deck and that seemed to quite it down by 90%.

The cold thing seems to be the big thing and even when I set the cabin temp to warm as soon as the inside warms up the noise goes way down.

I will also look into the female part of the seatbealt as that could also be something....

Thanks for the link TXmudman I will try that as a last resort before the other two...Since my car is under warrantee I will do that with my service B that is coming up…

I have to say though the MB dealer must have used 87 octante with his full tak of gas as the car was a bit of a slug on warm up at low speed on the first tank of gas but after my 3 tank of Techron 93 octane gas from Chevron the car is just getting faster and faster and IMHO 60 to 80 is done in a blink of an eye...

I can't even imagine the AMG version....
