Yes same color but pretty sure the one I replaced was a replacement as it was made in Spain or Brazil. No ballast resistors on this car.

How about the spark plug hole drains? Are they plugged? Easy way to test is to fill each with water and see if any are slow to drain. That’ll sure make the ignition system unhappy when it’s raining heavy and you’re splashing through those wonderful Oahu streets.

Checked OVP, fuse is good. When you shake the OVP though it has a rattle sound, like something loose inside. Spark plug wells drain fine. Next I'll pull the coil and test.

My car has ABS for what its worth, read how cars with early ABS have OVP relay. So not sure if my OVP relay has anything to do with no spark.

Yeah, I have no idea what it controls on W123 gas models, just process of elimination because problem manifests in the wet.

Have you test the resistance at the connection of green wire to distributor?

Speaking of process of elimination, one thing I've put off for a very long time is changing my voltage regulator. Again no idea why it might affect ignition but like the OVP, its all electrical. I started testing with my multi meter yesterday evening but haven't got as far as testing the distributor yet. I have the green factory manuals but anything you can share nutz would be appreciated. Need to go back to my thread when I changed out my ignition module.

Tested Distributor where green wire connects, readings are good.

Pulled coil and tested, readings for ohm are lower than what should be, this is terminal to terminal.

Did you test secondary #1 to #4? 6-16 Kilo ohms okay

That would be on the test terminal correct?

Work got busy so won't have time till the weekend to dive in again. My plan now is to change my voltage regulator and replace the OVP which I ordered. After that my electrical system should be good to go, and I can eliminate that (if it has any influence at all).

Any guides/numbers for testing my coil? Ohms from terminal to terminal 2ohm at best, should be 3-4 no?

#4 is the round plastic plug at the top middle of coil between #1 and #15. Not a metal terminal.

0.5-0.9 ohms for primary

The issue with the new blue coils is they are not oil filled like the originals and run hotter, shortening the life dramatically.

Tested resistance from 1 to 4 got 12ohms, tested between 1 and 15 got 1.3ohms, isn't suppose to be 3-4?

OVP never came yesterday, will be changing out voltage regulator today.
