Hello S320,
nice lighting upgrade, looks great. Did you do it yourself? How much did the lights cost, and where did you get them. I have been contemplating for quite some time. Maybe I'll get them put in next year, as soon as I finalise my next job ;)
Here is my car with Philips 6000 Kelvin Xenon bulbs. I got stopped by cops 2 times already as they go straight into the eyes. Working on them to fix beam pattern.

Hey Chad,
You can get them from xenondepot.com. Actually i did not had a very good experience with them. Yes, i installed them myself. Took about 2 hours as the kit came with instructions to use power from battery in engine bay! Had to perform some surgery around the engine. They are very bright and look stunning.

Read my this thread:

Anyways, here is some nice paint detailing:

I got a Philips Ultinon 6000k kit as well... it has a nice purple colour... I never had to adjust the beam pattern, it doesn't seem to glare... I got mine from an Ebay vendor "kwimports" for $449usd (no tax)... I am currently living in Los Angeles California, so I drove to his shop and picked it up directly. The kit has custom molded H7 base, with Philips Ballast inside a waterproof box, and the Philips brand 6000k Ultinon bulb (indicated by the purple shaft on the bulb)... took about 5 minutes to install (i threw away the harness-relays it came with, and simply plugged it up to the halogen-bulb-plug)... I had to change the headlight fuses to 25-amp fuses (becuase the xenon startup current draw is alot), but it works perfectly...

cheers..

Yes you're right, it doesn't fit directly. I had to cut four pieces of wire. Each one, I crimped a spade (male) connector on one end, and a female connector on the other end. I plugged the female ends straight into the ballast, and the male ends directly into the H7 plug of the car. Remembor to get the positive/negative correct. Finally I changed the fuse up to the 25amp.

If you like, I can take pictures, let me know.

I have the exact same setup on my M3 convertible. Except the M3 uses a 9006 plug, which could plug straight into ballast without making those little wires.
