I've been meaning to post this question for a while now. On my '02 ML with the Xenon headlights, are the bulbs towards the middle of the Head Light Assembly supposed to light up when High Beam is selected? I assume not since they look like Halogen bulbs and they are there for use when the Xenons are NOT used in place of the Halogen Low Beams.

Thanks for any assistance...

I don't believe so. iirc, you'd have to do the e-code mod for all of the lights to shine on high beam.

If I'm not mistaken, the high beams on factory xenons are in the middle section. A lens raises changing the dynamics of the beam. The inner ones for you are used in flash-to-pass situations since xenons take more time to ignite... I think.

That's correct. You can do the e-code mod though to have the inner halogen lights come on with the bi-xenon highbeam for those times when you want to annoy the guy in front of you even more.:p
