Hello,

My headlight is out, and I want to replace it with the xenon ones. Does anyone know how to do this, and parts needed? Will I have to replace the lense?

You will need to replace the entire headlight assembly.

You have two choices, Do you want Regular Xenon or Bi-Xenon like UncAl have. and what year is your ML430?

welcome btw[:)]

you can get the regular Xenon here:

http://www.partstrain.com/products/prodpage.html?make=MERCEDES BENZ&model=ML430&year=2000
Here are the differencecs between the old style ('98 in this case) and new style bi-xenon headlight assemblies (and taillights, for good measure):

The price on the link posted is pretty good.

Mine passenger headlight went out (again!) today. Anyone know a good place to get the Xenon update for my 98 in CANADA. I hate buying out of the US and having to pay Duty and Brokerage fees.

Is the Xenon upgrade plug and play or do I need the dealer to do something? What is the difference between bi-xenon and xenon? Which should I get.

Like Greg show in the pictures, THe diffirence between the two is the BI_Xenon works both Low and HI-Beam as a Xenon but the regular Xenon only works on Low Beam.

and to your Q if your getting the BI-xenon from PP it will be a Plug and Play because the pig tail is include dto the price.

Like Greg said the price on the link I have posted the price is pretty good, but before you buy from them ask them if the pig tail is included.
Is all hardware included with the assemblies? Xenon lights usually have some kind of power supply and upgraded harness wires.

It depend where you buying it from. If you are buying it from PP or Performance Product the pig tail is included to be plug and play, but some source may not have the pig tail so you have a problem unless you are some kind a handy man that you can modify your wiring a little, hey it's been done with out a pig tail. Call the source before buying.

Welcome to BW BTW[:)][:D]
Thanks, I didn't know what a PIG tail was and thanks also for the welcome. I'm going to purchase an extended warranty prior to making changes to this ML but I've bookmarked the link you provided.
