It is my understanding that the that the speedometer is "mated" to the electronic ignition switch. Taking an instrument cluster from a different vehicle will result in the odometer showing ------ instead of numbers. I don't know if there is any way to cure this, but you should probably check it out before you invest any money. I actually have such a cluster available. Bill
