They're called parcel shelves and finding one in good shape will be a challenge. They are not well made. Suggest you try to remove the carpet and replace with new. Either that or use the existing parcel shelf as a template and make a new one out of sturdier materials. That's what most of us do. IMO MB really cheapened out on the parcel shelf.

yeah, I went thru this ordeal, too. I have both now, parcel shelf and jump seat...
I'll sell you mine for $9500, and throw in the rest :) Shipping is on you; however.

I have a palomino rear shelf in my 380SL. It's in excellent condition and I believe it to be original.
However, I want to replace it with a rear folding jump seat.

Here's what i'm looking to replace it with:
Mercedes Benz SL Rear Jump Seat | Mercedes Rear Jump Seats | MB Jump Seat | Benz 107 Chassis | Kinder Seats | 3rd Seat | Fold Down | MB Folding | Non Folding Rear Seats | Rumble Seat | Aftermarket Back Seats | Stationary

Of course, looking for MBtex.

If you'd be willing to buy one for me, i'll send you the shelf.

I'm not sure if anyone is actually seeking a jump seat in this thread, but I have two that I have up for sale, and both are the oem style, not aftermarket JJproducts (which is very nice BTW, just obviously not original to people with issues like myself).

The leather one needs reupholstering on the bottoms:

I grabbed the rear wall carpet and the snap that rivets to the wall too (when taking it out of the 500sl parts car).

It obviously needs a serious cleaning.

Then there's the one in my 280sl that I've been using and still have in there, which I'm replacing with one I got in the correct color.

That one has intact vinyl. It's worked well.

I had been keeping both, planning to clean up and dye the leather the color of my 280sl interior. But since I found one the exact color of my car, now I'm ready to let them both go.
