I have a 1989 560SL with the original wheels that must have been chromed by the dealer-- or the dealer sent them out and had them chromed. The chrome is in bad shape-- peeling, flaking, etc. and I have to inflate the tires every few days. I am interested in either refinishing and painting the wheels I have or buying another set of painted wheels. I have heard to avoid the new Chinese reproduction wheels.

yeh, avoid the Chinese version for sure. had them once...... chrome started peeling fast.

I saw an ad over on the mbca.org site for 107/126 era wheels, he had quite a few.

I might part with my spare set, if I sell my sdl.....
