My wife, two young boys and I are very interested in buying a 1987 300TD. OK, the boys--19 months and 6 years old--aren't totally clued in but they will be in time.
Our reasons are many: space, ride, comfort and affordability. We also want to try to use a cleaner fuel and the 300TD seems to be the best option for that. Still, I have to admit, I just think the car is stately and would love to raise (myself and) my sons caring for a classic Mercedes. I've been a fan since my first ride in a convertible coup in the early 70's.
We're not able to spend much which limits our attempt to get a low-mileage Mercedes. I am located in Seattle and am willing to travel for the right MB.
