Hi, though I have searched for almost an hour but couldn't find the related info. I just want to know if these wheels (specs & pics attached) would fit the W210 without any issues at all? I am planning for OEM tire size 215/55 16

Thanks!

the offset for your 210 is 38mm with a little bit of wiggle room. the offset
indicated in the first link is well outside the acceptable range...at 15mm.
the wheel/tire will protrude outside the sheet metal.

Thank you for your reply. What you are saying does make sense but a more detailed look at this case (deep dish wheels) might suggest something else.

I checked with the offset calculator and the results are as follows:

Data:

Original Wheel - Width 7 inch, offset 38mm
New Wheel - Width 7.5 inch, offset 15mm

Result:

Inner Clearance= 17mm more
Outer position= Extend an extra 29mm

Now since its a deep dish design so even if it sticks out a bit, like half a inch, is ok by me as long it has enough clearance with the brake caliper and the suspension etc ...

it *should* have enough clearance for standard brakes. but bear in mind
that you're also proposing to change the geometry of the design quite a
bit, with that extreme a departure from the recommended offset. it will
introduce unintended stress to the suspension. just how much is debatable.

I guess you are right about that. But on the contrary I have been searching on google for past few hours now and though is has limited info about deep dish wheels, but where ever it is, it says deep dish wheels normally have negative offset. The question is, does that go for mercedes (w210) as well?

I see lot or Nissans in my area with wheels sticking out like 3-4" outside the fenders.
IMHO Mercedes will not only look stupid with the setup, but most likely the fenders will cut the tires on bumps.

Thats a good idea but the problem is that I am travelling overseas and I am getting these wheels at a very good price from where I am right now, but unfortunately there is no way to check how would they look or fit on my car ......

I have 17x8.5 et 18 front and 17x10 et17 rear on my 210, with stretched tires they fit fine. But my car is lowered. If you have stock height, small skinny wheels with low offset, and stock size tires, it may fit but will look a bit off. Those would work great with an older benz though, like my w126.

Well ... I have made the purchase, but I am still not so sure. I can give them back and get the typical AMG style in 17 with the standard ET and all.

And one more thing though, if I do go ahead with the deep dish what tire size options do I have? 215/55 might be a bit thin in my opinion. For a width of 7.5 can I go with 225/55 or 225/50?

return them as soon as possible, they are designed to fit older model mercs, not the W210. you need an ET between 30 to 42 for the W210. i'm surprised the guys selling you the rims didn't know that and stop you from buying these rims. if you fit them you WILL destroy your tyres as the car will bottom out on the rims on our roads. also you will destroy your wheels bearings as the leads you are going to be putting on them will be murder and they WILL fail.

i was running 8.5x18 (235/40R18) up front and 9.5x18 (265/35R18) on the back on my E280 and there were no issues as the offsets were 35 & 38 respectively,... making sure you have the correct offset is probably more important as the size and bolt pattern.

i've sent you an email in case you need to contact me.
