I like the newer rear wipers - sleek, more Aero-D and all. Are they a simple plug'n play hardware?

Good question and I agree with you - So much nicer.

Let's hope someone gives a definitive answer soon.

My R-Class and S500 have the new Aero-D wipers, they use a totally different arm. I'm sure you can retrofit the arms to make it work but would cost you some money. The new Aero-D wipers are so simple to change, you can change it in like 2 mins. You simply lift it up, turn the arm to one side and take it out. Its much better design then the old ones.

I have the ICON's on both ML's, front & rear. Also on my 190E
I also modified the wiper arms by removing some of the curve so the arms fit flatter against the ICON blades. Looks much nicer than the arms sticking way up above the blades. If you do this don' go too far since you still need some flexibility for the blades. Down side, the original blades will no longer fit the arms unless you restore the bends.

Hello Mike,

Where online can one purchase the ICON wiper for the rear windshield?

I couldn't find them in Witek's link.

Doesn't Bosch have the Hindsight model for rear windshield applications? I don't know what's different about it...

I used the Bosch 417A 17" on the rear.

.
Since Bosch is in Europe you may want to check Euro sources for this blade unless you still have your shipping contacts in the U.S. I would think Bosch would have sales outlets in your area.
I just checked and the 19", which is 1" longer on each end from center, puts the blade above the glass in the center and on to the metal body work. It may just float over the body but I wouldn't want to take a chance of abrading the paint. The grit on a dirty window is like sandpaper.
---------Just a thought -----------
