I noticed a clunking sound from the rear and thought it was the exhaust. I have worked on my exhaust and actually found the shield above the cat converter loose and just laying o top of it. Now wonder I would hear rattling at idle or when I lunge forward. Anyway, let me get back on topic before my ADD takes over.
Once I realized that the exhaust had nothing to do with the clunk I started shaking some of the rear suspension stuff. When I got to the wheel itself, I noticed a play right down where the spring support arm meets with the hub.
There is a bushing in there and I think it's called a hub carrier bushing but I am not sure what the part number is or what is it called in Mercedes terminology so I can find it on eBay or something.

Yes. I've just stuck a jack under the control arm when it's loose. Also, you need to bend the dust shield out of the way, or remove it along with the parking brake.

You need to press it out though. Either by using the special tool or making a special tool. Or completely removing the hub and using a bench press.

Okay, I got that nut loose and I removed the bolt. I lowered the arm and removed the spring.
Now I wait for the part to arrive. In the mean time I got to figure a way to get the old bushing out without taking the hub out. That's going to be a little challenge.

I couldn't find washers large enough to fit around the bushing as I will be pulling towards the back. I did find wheel bearing racers (2 of them to make it as high/wide as the bushing) that look like a perfect fit. I just need to find a washer that can go on top of them. The back of the screw will have two nuts locking each other and against a half inch socket wrench. The other side will have the racers allowing space for the bushing to come in. I will then install a washer and another nut so that when I turn the screw pull everything out against the hub interfacing with the bottom/inner racer.
