I am wanting to remove the wood panel that covers the center area that contains the radio and climate controls in a '99 ML 430. Has anyone removed the panel that can provide some direction? Thank you for your help.

you can pull it off, its only clamps. First take out the stereo then where you can get a fingers grip start to pry the top out first and the bottom will follow sute since they are not connected with clamps but just place holders. Good Luck
