My 97 e200 is gutless when i drive off.When i rev it up it sounds like it chokes itself before revving up and also wont rev over 5 thou ...like it has a rev limiter???..New maf didnt fix it .!!!..Any suggestion greatly appreciated...

If you try to rev it while parked/in neutral, be aware that the engine computer will apply a rev limiter. So you will NOT be able to rev it to the red line while in park or neutral.
