Just watched a video regarding my convertible on my R-230. It shows the guy using a computer. As most of us here are trying to do the work ourselves because this has become to expensive. In the video he says to close the flap without a computer refer to the WIS document to manual retract the flaps. Anyone have this info. Since my hydraulic leak is the trunk lid cylinder, wouldn't it just be easier to remove the flaps to be able to access and open the assembly completely? I'd like to replace the tubular frame lock cylinders as well. I did the left one without having the arms up, Guess I may try to do the right one the same way. Man, these cars are becoming expensive to maintain.

Here's the video link I was referring to. To be able to remove the trunk side panels to replace the tubular frame lock cylinders. My trunk lid cylinder leaked out completely and my flaps are in the open position. Guess I'll just remove them until I have the cylinders rebuilt and go ahead and replace the flap kits as well while I'm at it. Geesh.
