I am not sure if it is by design or what. The wipers slows down when the car stops and waiting to turn left at the intersection. The wipers are on Single wipe, not intermittent. How can I stop that behavior?

Hey, do you know if you have rain sensing wipers? because my 07 came with them stock. If that's not the case, then it may be a issue with your wiper module. I hope this helps!

No need having them run full speed when at a stop.

Higher speeds = more water being detected on the window hence an increase in wiper speed.

Usually there is also a version coded option to make the wipers slow down when the car is stationary. I cannot remember if this only affects the manual speed selection modes etc. but if this is annoying to you and if it is not only adaptation to the observed rain at the rain sensor, you might ask this changed with Star.

I think Rain Sensing will only be used in Intermittent Mode. Normal Mode should override rain sensing. I can't find alot of information regarding it. Owner's Manual said Intermittent is dependent on windshield Wetness.

It is documented in WIS. "Wiper system automatic speed reduction". Someone please help me to disable it. I really don't want to get a head on collision.

It shouldn't be activated in my car. It has a CODE 494. Canadian Car. Can someone familiar with SDS tell me which menu to look for to disable it?

He already had a look at WIS, tells a lot more than the car manual.

This setting appears at the driver side SAM module, wipers appear to have this setting only (enabled or disabled).

I finally disabled that setting in DAS. Feel alot safer driving in the rain.
