Does anyone know how to remove the drivers-side wiper? I know this sounds like a really dumb/easy question, but I can't figure it out. I'm changing squeegee inserts and with the passanger side I was able to just slide the old one out/new one in. But for the drivers's side the whole arm assembly is lodged under the hood and the only way to get to it is to take part of the assembly off. Thanks in advance.

Key on, wiper on, wait for it to travel about eye level up the windshield, key off.

Then you can pinch the retaining clip on the blade and slide it toward the engine.

wtf, why didnt I think of that. I had to squeeze, push, thumb, cuss, gnaw until I got it out.

also as an update - there was discussion before on replacement blades being not available from the stealer. I just bought the Michelin brand from Walmart. I kept the stock "arm" and just replaced the blade + 2 metal bars. I love it bec its quiet

The Bosh refills are no longer available at the dealer, they want to sell the entire blade. I did find some Bosh from a online source, MB part#s and all. These are the newer style they just slide in have built in plastic splines and have a plastic cap to hold them in. I did hear that some of the blades are either too long and the other too short. I am glad it worked out

I also happened to notice (AFTER I parked the wiper mid-windshield!) that only on the driver's side (the difficult side) there is a tab, about a half inch square with four lines on it, that if you push it in (toward the winshield) it unlatches the segment if the wiper that holds the blade refill. That makes it a WHOLE LOT easier to finish the job....like 20 seconds.
