Hi all. Searched around, not finding much. I can’t get any wiper function at all from the switch. No washer pump function either

Motor works when tested at its harness (brown and green wire) Relays click nice with 12v, but not with switch

I can easily test from relay to motor, but I’m guessing stalk switch. Any other easy tests I’m missing?

Update: suspicion was correct:

Broken wire on multi function switch stalk

After more searching, I found a great YouTube vid of diagnosis and wiper motor replacement. I also found a good one showing replacement of the mfs

I checked the relay function and resistance a little more. I could have done more searching for a short, but I decided to go on my hunch that it was the switch bc the turn signal was broken anyway. I also found a couple videos/posts that showed a broken wire; so it seemed somewhat likely

Definitely get the t10 torx driver for this. T30 driver might be too long to fit behind wheel and clear the dash. I used a folding set for that one

Lots of precautions to take with airbags, angle sensors, and old plastic clips. I followed instructions on the vid. I did crack the steering wheel function plug on the back of the airbag. It’s supposed to just pull off, but it has a catch that I did not release. Never figured it out, but it didn’t break all the way, so I plugged it back in and reused it

Replacement mfs came from rock auto. I believe it was listed under standard replacement and was a valeo OE unit with mercedes benz branding on it. About 60$

I think there are updated ones with shorter wires, but I don’t know how to find those
