Does anybody have first hand experience of driving this car through a UK winter on standard tyres? I’m not talking about snow, I’m guessing that is leave at home! I’ve owned a C63 (2011) which I think was ok, but although this has more power I’m not sure how effective the slippery mode is in making it manageable to drive.
If a handful I guess winter tyres are the next step. Have others gone down the route of fitting to the standard wheels? Is so, what tyre size did you go for? I’ve bought winter wheels for other cars but it adds to the cost and is a faff to store and sell on when I change the car. Thanks

I use my C63S coupe as a daily driver through the summer and the winter in the UK and haven't had any issues other than it can be a bit traction limited if you get carried away but if you drive to the road conditions and leave all the driver aids on its fine. It usually goes wrong when people get carried away or turn off the clever electronics.

I do have a set of winter wheels and tyres but they are for my old M135i BMW and to be fair I only have them as I worked for a German company and drove out there every month and you have to have them by law during the winter.

To cover myself, I live in the outskirts of London and its been pretty mild with very few days sub zero this year.
