Windshield wipers operate in low speed only , (operates in low speed when put on low and high setting) .
Any ideas or anyone had this happen? everything else is working normally, no obvious things like burnt fuse.
Vehicle is 2001 ml320, standard wipers-not rain sense.
Could it be a relay or something simple?

Swap relay k17 with same part number in the fuse box.
Using ohm meter check wiper switch.

sorry to resurrect the old thread, but I'm trying to get a more detailed explanation (write up or video) on the S4_test procedure listed above.

I have a 1999 ML430, in which the wipers only work in high speed.

Things like, how do I get at the contacts? My thoughts are remove the plastic cowl outside below the windshield; pull off the connector and do the measurements there. can someone tell me if I'm heading in the most efficient direction??
