There is a plastic half moon gear that makes the wiper go up/down.
You can find that gear on ebay is the same gear for the 124.
I think that odometer gears has them too.
About $100.
Now buy an I think working from memory 13"by 11" blade, not a 24" strait.

Regards,
aam.

You memory is pretty good.

While our car has a 24" wiper, it needs an off-center mounted blade with the top part no longer than 11" or it will hit the A-Pillar, so it is a 11"+13"=24" setup. Or an 11"+11"=22" center mounted one will also work as the 'short' end would be at the bottom and the non-wiping area would not be in your line of sight.

Or you can keep the OEM Arm and just replace the 24" rubber insert (and save some money too).
