Turn on windshield wiper and it significantly slows down between 10 and 2 o'clock. Is the rubber blade too 'sticky', or is there a mechanical problem. Looking for advice, and possibly DIY repair suggestions. Thanks!

try lubricating it with grease or a silicone based lubricant...

turn on your wiper and when the arm is at the 10/2 position turn the motor off... then spray on the lubricant... repeat as many times as you wish... then go from there....

read some other posts, and this is what i found so far:

1. properly clean windshield and blade to reduce friction. then check
2. grease parts
3. adjust spring tension
4. replace motor

for #2, do I use a screw driver to lever off the plastic motor cover? Do i need to properly decrease the parts first?

for #3, does anyone know where to adjust this spring tension? is this on the replacement blade itself? I guess the idea is to relieve the pressure of the blade on the glass.
