Is it the regulator or the motor?.. Bought a cheap knock off for $52.00 with the motor.. You buy a OEM motor and regulator that's going to cost you $300.. Mine has been in for a year, works great, the window zips up and down.. I can replace mine SIX times before it gets to be a losing prop..After all it's just stamped out sheet metal.. I could see no difference in the gauge or quality of the metal.. The motor? time will only tell.. But after a year, all's good here..

If it's just the regulator, I would try to save as much as you can, .. I buy OEM for engine, brake, AC, etc.. Save the big bucks for the important parts.. Again it's just a stamped out piece of sheet metal..

As an aside, I recommend you order some extra door panel clips. I broke about half of mine in the process of removing the door panel when my left rear window regulator bit the dust this past summer.

I love that tool.
Sadly on the 99 the plastic was so old it was brittle and a few of them just crumbled at the top where they slide into the holders on the door card.

That wouldn't be necessary if you had the proper tool.
A "must have" tool (along with the many other similar nylon-type) if your going to work in car interiors.

I used a trim tool. Maybe not the exact one shown but something like it. YMMV but in my case the old clips were noticeably more brittle than the new ones. We will see what happens when I tear apart that door again to replace the door lock mechanism.

Also you need to deal with "pop rivets".. I used short #8s screws and nuts with lock tight Blue..
