I searched but could not find answer. Sorry if it is here already. Adsit and Performance both say that there are 2 different regulators for a 91 560 SEL, depending on the brand of motor. The dealer says that there is only one for my car. I'd 1) like to order before removing the panel, and 2) like to pay a more reasonable price than the dealer's $200. Anyone know the answer to which regulator I might have? TIA.

There is two kinds of regulators available.. Part number 1267201346 is for 86 and up i believe..Double check if you have the bigger gear or the smaller gears on the regulator..
The regulators from a 300sd did not fit when i tried it myself....

Can't say I'd install the aftermarket reg... Their build quality never impressed me..

Okay, so I gather that the 91 560 SEL has the BROSE brand, so my only decision is whether to go Mercedes or aftermarket. Jonathan, Mercedes dealer is $200 for new one. Is your belief that I am better going that direction? TIA.

well, we also need to know exactly which reg you have...the break isn't as straight forward as mentioned above.. It would be helpful if you could count the teeth on the motor.

If you plan on keeping this car I would go w/ the genuine.. if this is a short term affair you might go w/ the AM..
