The wind deflector on my sun roof is broken in multiple places. My first question is how necessary is the wind deflector? I plan on buying a new part but will it harm the sunroof to use it with the deflector removed? second question: Where is the best place to find this part new or used(part#201.780.0144). I have the haynes manual and it does not cover sunroof repair. I looked through the search and found a sunroof repair file in txt format. It looked a little difficult to read. So my third question is where can I find some good info on sunroof repair and maintainice. while Im in there I may as well clean and lube everything, any tips or tricks for doing this?

Sun roof removal and repair is simple. 4 push pins on the front of the headliner for the sun roof, slide it back, four 7mm bolts hold the roof on, remove it, the sun deflector unclips and rotates out of place from the roof rails. Lube with lithium grease for best result.

Yeah helpful, except none of these things came stock on any 190 and is not what he is asking about.
