I would say that they fit. I also would recommend to put wider wheel in the rear thab 8,5" because they will get quite deep at the wheel housing. 10 inches would be just perfect. There is a lot of room at W126:s rear wheel housings. :)

Those wheels will fit without any problems in the back.

Up front the tires will "polish" the tie rods when the steering is at full lock, which isn't really a problem.

I would caution you against 18" wheels though. The tires will have to have a very low profile if you want to stay close to the standard wheel diameter and therefore the ride will be quite harsh.

If you decide to go with bigger wheels, acceleration, handling and suspension geometry will all be suffering.

Thanks for the replies. I currently have 17" wheels and do not mind the ride at all.
Would 245/40 tires all around work out?
The wheels also come in 18x9.5 but I want to keep the same size all around.
How will the wheels sit in the rear?
