I have a 1999 e320 with stock wheels and tire of 215/55/16 and offset 41. Will the wheels below fit my vehicle. They have 225/55/16 tire on them. The biggest thing I feel is the offset. The bolt seat may be different too They are off of a 2008 e550. Here is a link to the Craigslist listing. Mercedes Benz Rims 4 each

Here is the stamping on the wheels.

Welcome aboard. Please take a minute to click user cp and edit details to add your vehicle and location information to your profile, it's useful information when you are seeking assistance.

Also, please spend some time reading through the help/diy stickies; they'll answer most of the questions you will have about your car.

Including this one. Yes they will fit. Yes, you will need custom lug bolts. The details are in the wheels thread in the stickies. ;)

They also look excellent on the W210 chassis; I know because I at one time had them on my car. :D

Good luck.

Yes. 215 is the width of the tire / 55 is the height / 16 is the rim size.

When interchanging tire sizes you can increase the width/height to a certain extent as long as the rim size is 16.

I'm not quite sure where you live, but in Canada usually you can get the custom bolts from an after market seller or you can go to a tire shop and ask them if they carry the bolts you need for your car.

Made in Germany - Place made
8JX16H2ET36 - Wheel range of 8x16 offset of 36
2114013302 - Part number

The other three I'm not sure of.

bolt length

Sorry, new to all this stuff. Heading to the stickies now.

One other quick question though (sorry), would I need shorter or longer lug bolts when changing from a 41 to 36 offset? Are lug bolts difficult to change out. I am very much a DIYer but want to make sure it's work buying these rims vs just waiting for the right size to show up. Thanks again for all your help. :)

Yea they will fit no problem go and buy em. and then go and order bolts from radusadirect
R14x12x1.5mm

In the mean time you can use your stock bolts if you dont wanna wait. Just check if the length off the bolts is long enough just put it in the rim and do a simple eye check.

He CANNOT use his stock bolts for anything (except maybe his spare depending on if he has an alloy one).

Aside from being the wrong ball seat, they are about 1.5" too long and he'll damage the emergency brake if he tries to mount them.

Just check the length of stock ones cuz I am pretty sure they will not damage the e-brake.

But if check codes is correct than measure your stocks and minus 1.5" and here is your length.

I could off used stock ones but my wheels are different

Well the Benz dealer said the car these came off of have a "much shorter" bolt but 1.5 inches seems like a lot. Anyone know what the stock bolt size is for a 2008 e550?

Thanks. "trying" can get expensive as you can't return them once you buy them. Hmmmm. Can't seem to find what the stock bolt size is on my 1999 e320 vs a 2008 e550.

you have the answer for your own car. just post a similar query on the other
forum and ask owners of 211s to measure the bolt....or to the seller of the rims
to measure the cross section of the rims from the bottom of the ball seat to the
back surface. then add .5"

there is no way to determine bolt length based on ET or comparing apples and
oranges. must have the same rim and and to measure the thickness. takes
< 10 seconds
