I'm just started looking for a SEC coupe to put these sensational Lorinser rims on. I've always loved the tough look and luxury of the bigger MB coupes, and have decided to start looking for a nice example to use when going out with friends. I bought the Lorinsers and had them fully x-rayed, rolled, recond and polished for my 300SL, but they won't go on the front due to the bigger 560SL type 4pot calipers. I considered selling them but they are my favorite rim and are just too hard to get again in this condition. The rims are 16x8 Et11 and I was wondering if they will fit any of the SEC range with no brake caliper problems.

I would prefer a 500 or 560SEC but as tyres aren't on the rims yet I cannot check the clearance.

Any advice would be appreciated

Cheers
Andrew

16x8 et11 is the stock W126 AMG rim specs so they will fit any W126 just fine.

Thanks for the info confirming the fit guys.

That pic of the fantastic black SEC with the chrome Lorinsers looks familiar. Was that pic used in an Ebay advert for the car or the rims? I saw some chrome lorinsers like them go for over US$2000 a little while ago. I'd love to find a black or dark blue 500/560SEC because these rims would look perfect on it.

I have a set of lorinser 16x8 Et 11 with 225 tires on a 500 SEC with no problems, and have another set of 16x8 lorinser RS 90's Et 22. Either Et will fit a 500 or 560 and I can't understand why yours wouldn't, if they really are Et 11's. Cheerio, Teutone (aka Horst K)

I got them for my 87 300SL but the front brake calipers are to big [560SL type] and get in the way. I decided to keep them anyway because I want an SEC. What model type are these rims?

I am not sure, but I believe they predate the lorinser RS 801 and RS 90. I know where an old 450 SLC is parked that hasn't been moved in a year. It has the same wheels on it. Anyone interested could probably pick them up cheap. I think I have also seen them installed on a 6.9. Cheerio, Teutone (aka Horst K) P.S. You might be able to get an answer to mod. # by posting on the tire rack forum here.

Nice looking! Sharp! If you opt to sell instead of mounting, would be interested in what you need for them. Thanks, Mr. Zero

They look awesome on your 560SEC. Front less deep than rears. Very nice. If only they made them in 17"
