Brand new to W201s and when looking at the H&R website site I see the Touring and Sport Cup Kits listed for the 190E, but not the 190D or 190TD. I wonder if the kit will it fit, or is there a suspension/chassis difference between the two models?

Many thanks! TT

There's no suspension differences between models. The differences are due to the engine weights up frot. If you put the H&R cup kit for a 2.3 on a diesel, the front of the car will most likely be very low and might even lower it onto the tires.

That's what I was thinking too.. The 190 2.5 turbo diesel is listed at 2800 pounds. Any the 190 E is 400 lbs lighter.... Any other options for lowering? Thanks!

Any stock W201 is a lot heavier than 2400 lbs unless it's a stripper Euro model without AC, sunroof, or power anything.

A sorry son of a bitch I know put 2.6 lowering springs on his '87 turbo 190D, and the front end was slammed. Your best bet will be springs for a V8 W124 or R129 cut down to desired height.

Learning a lot today, looks like bilstein part 46-181404 will allow me to lower it 1.5 inches. I had no idea that there was such a weight difference between 190d & 190e.
