some clown ran a red light and t-boned my wife in the 95 SL600 with just under 30,000 miles. the wife was sore, but no serious injuries.

just a shame such a clean, low mileage car is now tarnished. I doubt it will ever be the same. The door took most of the hit, with the front fender taking some as well. hood, bumPer, rear fender all look good, as well as the body part below the door.

I noticed a slight pull to the steering when i drove it to the shop. I was hoping there was no mechanical damage. but there appears to have been at least a tie-rod or something tweaked.

There were no witnesses to the accident and nobody was seriously injured and both cars could drive home. so the cops just told them to swap insurance info. Looks like my insurance is going to fix it even though the values on these cars are so depressed right now. might post a sad picture later..

Be interesting to see the pics. If it's just door and fender, new metal, paint and it should be nearly good as new ! Guess we'll see if rocker or other body structures got hammered. Tough to tell without pics ! Hey, wait a minute ! No pics = it didn't happen :D

that sucks it happened to a great car with such low mileage. that is great there was no personal injury though, that is what is most important by far.

whoever does the repair make sure they are 100% able to work on cars like these.

It's good to hear she got out unharmed.

And don't worry about the car, if there's no structural damage, it will be back as new.

I've seen cars hit more severely and fixed :)

We are such a sad group. If there is a train wreck, we all want to see it. lol.

Glad your wife was in the Benz when she got hit. I bet it helped her walk away in better shape than she would have otherwise. I wouldn't sweat the repair, it will come back good as new.

Just read your story and just wanted you to know how sorry I am to hear about your vehicle but your wife getting just a little sore is truly great for your family!!!!!! Are you the gentlemen who purchased your car from somewhere in Chicago and your wife and a friend drove it home? If so that was a great story!!! Good luck with your repairs and a speedy recovery to your wife!!!!!

Better shape just like lady Diana. Hmm
This isn't hardly worth my time to respond and it doesn't relate to the OPs thread, so I wont be replying beyond this post.

Her Benz absorbed incredible forces in that accident and had she been properly belted in, might have survived. And I believe that accident did have a survivor, so I am unsure what your point is other than flamebait.

Thank you for your time and goodbye.

As we know the said woman in accident is safe as described by the OP. we are all glad to hear that and wish her good health. You took my post totally wrong regarding Diana relating to this thread.

Good to know she is ok..I think you may just need a wheel alignment due to the sudden jolt from the side impact. We are all wishing you the best of luck repairing the baby :)
