Hi All, the other night I exited a round about and put my foot down, the car picked up smoothly but then there was a very noticable increase in excelleration as though it had been holding back ??
Any ideas what it might be ?

is your CEL comes on?

if it does, have it check and there is a possibilty that you have some cylinder misfired. How many miles or Km you have. I had that experienced and found out that I need to changed my plug and wire. Did it my self and no more hesitation when I push my pedal down.

I don't know whether your truck actually has any problem at all.

From your post, it simply sounds as if you have found the kickdown button.:D

I understand and was just kidding.:)

I'm no expert but could it be fuel related?

For example a component like your fuel filter being partly clogged?

Have you ever changed your fuel filter?

ps.

Are there any stored OBDII codes/"Check Engine" indicator lights?
