Can you put 275's on 18x9.5 in the rear, and 255 18x8.5 front without modifications? Any good mbz links for kits and performance?
ca-brea2a-91.stmnca.adelphia.net

Funny that you ask that question. Yesterday I was at a L.A. tire shop trying to install tires on my new 18 x 8.5 wheels for my 2002 C320. The rear is no problem with any tire up to 255 I think. But my tire guy tried putting 255's then 245's and the really didn't fot well. So, he ordered some 235's & 225's for Monday and we'll see what happens. The 225's for sure will fit. But were gonna try the 235's first.
ca-vannuys1a-148.stmnca.adelphia.net

Re: widest rims and tires? LUKE HELP!!

Are you serious? I spoke with someone at wheelpower and they said 19x9 and 19x10 would fit but rolling the fenders a little bit would be necessary to avoid rubbing, I've read from some of the forum posts that at least 275's are possible.

Thanks
ca-brea2a-153.stmnca.adelphia.net

Re: widest rims and tires? LUKE HELP!!

Well I got my new Wheels & tires today and they look awesome! We ended up putting 235/40 18's all the way around. 255 and maybe 265 might have worked on the rear but 235's are for sure the best fit for the front of your'e using an 8.5' wode wheel & you don't want to modify the fenders or wheel wells.
Barry H
ca-vannuys1a-148.stmnca.adelphia.net
