i got two 215/70 14's for free and im wondering if its safe or even possible to fit those on w123 alloys.
ive heard of people trying 205's but 215's seem like a long shot.

in case it needs to be said im running 195/70 14's

the tires are sumitomo htr t4's i think, something along those lines

I have Kuhmo 215/70 14 tires on 6.5 " S-class bundts, I can't remember if they were 116 or the one that followed...

anyway, they fit my 240D fine. The rim has about 2mm of clearance with the tie rod end, but doesn't hit. The tires don't rub anywhere on mine.

It is a big tire for the car, but I had them left over from my previous 108 chassis. At some point I am going to replace the tires on the hubcap rims with 205/70s. I think the 215/70 may be a smidge too big

I would be careful that even though the sizes are the same, tires often differ between brands/models. Just 'cause mine fit, don't mean yours will. Also, I think 215 may be pushing it for a 6 inch rim.
