I doubt there's a real reason, but does anyone know why Mercedes switched from using Daimler's signature on the windshield?

I started to notice in 2006ish the E and CLS classes would have the "Mercedes" in cursive on the windshield. From then on it seemed like only those models had the cursive "Mercedes".

Now I've noticed some cars even have the "Carl Benz" signature, what's up with that? Why no consistency?

I GUESS this would make more sense why they switched from "Daimler-Benz Product" to "Mercedes-Benz Product", except they did that in the early 90's before Chrysler.

I just feel like it's not cost effective to make a whole bunch of different stickers, instead of just one.
