Obviously your boss is concerned about retraining you.
Obviously your boss is concerned about retraining you.Alas, although I get 3 weeks off, I am required to take them separately, one week at a tiime. You better post MANY pctures.
Fess Parker! Nice! When it gets closer, give me an idea of when you'll be through. I can give you two options:
Option 1) A very nice room at a resort in Santa Barbara. I happen to be sleeping with the manager, and I can get pretty good room rates.

Option 2) A nicely appointed guest room with ensuite bath. Dogs sharing the bed are optional. Sharing your food with the parrot is not optional. At least, not if you want to keep your hearing. Parrots can be loud.
Can you post a copy of that map. 112 hours driving Mapquest time. Whats the total milage? What are the speed limits in Canada? My wife is suddenly not impressed.
It seems she did some quick mapquesting to see the actual distance and time it will take me.
Seems as though I am looking at 112 hours of driving.
She would prefer if I only used 3 weeks vacation for this trip which is 28 calender days.
I really don't want to be terribly rushed.
I would prefer 4 weeks vacation which would be 36 days.
Negotiations will continue.
I think WE ALL KNOW the outcome.
So...How will I put 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag?
you gotta remember we need sled dogs to pull us at least half the wayCan you post a copy of that map. 112 hours driving Mapquest time. Whats the total milage? What are the speed limits in Canada?

This was pretty much a rough estimate doing a Barrie-Vancouver-LA-Vegas-Barrie search. Can you post a copy of that map. 112 hours driving Mapquest time. Whats the total milage? What are the speed limits in Canada?

Thanks again. I will be referring back to this thread as departure time approaches and making all the connections.Offer still stands for the Restoration tour, Nobby (and friends).
You'll probably be ready for home after three weeks anyway. Well, i say that after our not quite three week coastal jaunt. The only problem is you'll be ready to take off again after being home a week.

For US enthusiasts: http://www.mbusa.com/media/downloads...pplication.pdf
I'm not at all sure if MBUSA will honor requests from non US addresses. If my recent experiences with trying to get service CDs sent offshore hold true, then US requests only. I do not know if the Classic Center in California is up & running yet....
Cheers, MBL
When you go in, ask to see the collection in the garage.
Talk to Mike if you need anything. I go there at least once a month.
Once when I went there, the receptionist was the only person working downstairs. She was new, I took advantage. I got to sit in Räikkönen's MP4 19. It was a bit awkward as I am 6'6 and it was built for him at 5'8"/5'9".
Amazing place though. If you're even remotely in the area (anywhere in southern california) and you're a true enthusiast, go for it. They have a 1987 560SEL with 9,xxx miles on it for sale for like $35k. Other cars as well. There was a 1956 300SL, numbers matching, in prime condition with the original luggage for a steep $335k. Oh ohh ohh there was also an "orginal" Gazelle lifter on the rack in the garage (as not to be touched or breathed on) that had a sign on it that read "Absolutely not for sale". They also had the Excelero there for 3 days early this year. Massively long car. A have to go to location.
I'm hoping he's planning on that. I can't remember who it was, but someone volunteered to get Nobby a VIP tour and said others could go with him. I've been holding off going to the Classic Center partly because I want in on that VIP tour. The other part was because I didn't want them to laugh at my car. I don't worry so much about that now, but they may hate that I went a different color carpet than they intended.Nobby...here's another one to pencil in on your tour.
That's the whole point....they rotate autos all the time. And, you never know what you'll find in the back garage.Just a bunch of old cars on display really.
